I seldom take photos of buildings I find unattractive, but this one's a pretty extreme case - and what's more, it's up for sale and possible redevelopment. It would be a pity to let it pass unrecorded. For the most part it has to be Devenish's, the local brewers, who are to blame for the gut-churning (kippers and Camp Coffee?) colour scheme - they had the nerve to set their name in stone above the entrance. But it's got to be the present owners who put up those turquoise hanging baskets - a truly devilish touch.
