This is the side of the hotel that faces east over the open countryside from its raised position. In the foreground is the old terrace with dining tables. The windows are all boarded up to prevent vandalism. The hotel was once a row of cottages which will now all be demolished. The hotel closed in December 2011. It had been purchased by the present owners in 1988. Over 70% of its income comes from weddings and events.
