This is a view down the railway line (West Coast Main Line, London to Glasgow) that runs from Newton-le-Willows so this is looking roughly south-west. Residential area is visible on the left with farmland on the right and good old Fiddlers Ferry Power Station in the far distance. Thanks to Steve Parish for additional rail related info.
