Rather than continuing along the main road Eastcote Lane (to the left) turns down a dead end (since the bus lane was introduced) while the remainder (to the right) is called Eastcote Lane North. Normally this would be a typical British method of naming roads, except this is not as the road to the right is due south of the others. I have no idea of the reason for this and sure the council won't either if asked.
