Following the banking crisis of 2008 Bradford & Bingley plc became part of Santander UK plc. The Chichester Street branch has been closed and amalgamated with other branches nearby. There are now applications for planning permission (nos 0950/LBC and 0952/F) for change of use of from a bank to a coffee house/coffee shop.
