Letting agency in a street once famous for hippies and later antique shops. Edinburgh is plagued by house prices outwith the reach of many working people. Combine this with the fact that a lot of the small tenement flats are owned by buy to let owners and there is no shortage of letting agencies in the city. There have been signs of consolidation though. Rents are high too. I rented a tiny two room flat near here in 2004 for £435 a month.
