Just managed to get this shot of the train passing Sheaf Bank Works on the embankment ... between the factory and the train line is the River Sheaf. The huge Sheaf Bank Works was gutted by fire in 1921 - still the biggest peace time fire in Sheffield. A spark from a passing train was blamed ... well, this picture shows how close they must have passed. See also ... Image Image Image
