Looking along Sandhill near the quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne. Bessie Surtees House, owned by English Heritage and dating from the Jacobean period, is the leftmost of the two visibly timber framed buildings. The High Level Bridge which carries both road and rail over the Tyne can be seen on the left above the street.
