Former Hospital & Poor Law Institution, Battle

The complex was built in 1840 in the Tudor Gothic style and is now Grade II listed. It has a rectangular courtyard accessed through the gatehouse on the south side (shown separately). The buildings became a hospital in 1948 which closed in the late 1990s. The later conversion to residential accommodation is now known as Frederick Thatcher Place.
