The War Memorial Clocktower at Wheelton is a Grade II listed building. A large rectangular panel above the door on the eastern side of the tower contains a metal plate which reads (in capitals) "To commemorate the glorious memory of the men of Heapey and Wheelton who fell in the Great War 1914-1918" (Image]).
