Victorian pub on the corner of Fortress and Lady Somerset Roads, listed by the Good Beer Guide 2012; internally, dining left, drinking and eating right. Central bar, decorated ceilings and woodwork, old fireplaces, TV, background music, conservatory, garden. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Downton Apple Blossom, Sambrook's Wandle, Tring Card Sharp, Wye Valley HPA.
