Image: © Richard Vince Taken: 22 Jan 2011

This bus is awaiting departure on one of the many local bus services that use Clarence Street as their main city centre stop, as is the one visible behind it. The contraflow bus lane (left foreground) is evidence of the street's importance for buses. Clarence Street is very close to the retail heart of Gloucester; the uncompromisingly angular buildings behind the buses were all occupied by shops when the photograph was taken.
