Waiting at platform 3 is an Arriva Trains Wales Class 153 Super Sprinter number 153362, named DYLAN THOMAS 1914-1953. It will shortly depart for the 1 mile journey to the terminus at Cardiff Bay station. There are 5 trains an hour in each direction, at 12 minute intervals, between the two stations. There is no direct service to Cardiff Bay from Cardiff Central. Passengers need to make the short trip to Queen Street for this shuttle service.
