The commercialised entrance - in the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre - that leads into the network of caves previously hewn out of the sandstone deposits under the thoroughfare previously known as Middle Hill. This is the street beneath the road now called Fletcher Gate (the penultimate section of tram route running downhill towards the Railway Station). This extensive network of caves can be toured by visitors under the supervision of an approved guide.
