A typically grandiloquent Victorian/Edwardian bank. Ionic-columned granite ground floor below Portland stone with the usual richly carved details, particularly in the frieze. By Chatwin & Son, 1903-06. Grade II listed. It was still a bank, Lloyds TSB.
