The last passenger train called at Birdingbury in 1959, although freight trains - delivering coal to Southam Cement Works - continued until the 1980s. Nowadays this stretch of the trackbed is a cycleway and the station is a private house. In the 1950s there were five departures daily for Leamington and six for Rugby (more on Wednesdays and Saturdays).
