Andrew Strauss (later to score a century) leads the England team out of the pavilion just before eleven o'clock on the first day of the second Test Match. West Indies had won the toss and chosen to bat. The ramshackle old commentary boxes have been removed from the first floor of the lovely Victorian Pavilion and replaced by a new sightscreen which doubles as an advertising hoarding when the bowling is from the Radcliffe Road End (from which this picture was taken). To see the pavilion as it was until the 2011 season, see Image], Image] and others.
