View northward from the Down platform, towards the ex-GWR Horton Road Locomotive Depot and the GW lines: left from Gloucester Central and South Wales, right to Cheltenham, Birmingham etc., also Swindon etc. Eastgate station is the ex-Midland Birmingham - Bristol main line station at Gloucester, destined to disappear in 1975.
