A Class 170 railcar leaving Ely at about 8.30 on a May evening. It will shortly leave the main line and take the line through Soham and Fordham before joining the Cambridge-Stowmarket line east of Newmarket. This is one of the few passenger trains to use this route. The zoom lens foreshortens the distance and accentuates the curves.
