Clearance is going on behind the advertising hoardings on Queen's Road, near Nottingham Station. The Great Central Railway once crossed the Midland Station, Queen's Road and Arkwright Street on bridges on its way south out of the city. A bridge over the station will be reinstated to carry the trams, which will slope down and swing right then left to follow Queen's Walk to the river at Wilford, which the trams will cross on the former toll bridge.
