View northward, towards Great Malvern and Worcester on the Worcester - Hereford Main line. The Malvern Hills rise steeply up to the left and the local goods is about to pass through them in the Colwall Tunnel - single-bore and almost a mile long, so the crew will suffer. Their locomotive is ancient 'Dean Goods 0-6-0 No. 2339 (built 6/1884, withdrawn 3/52).
