View northward, towards Banbury, Birmingham etc.; also via Banbury and Woodford Halse to the ex-GC main line to Sheffield, off which this train will have come. Collett-design 4-6-0 No. 6911 'Holker Hall' (built 1/41, withdrawn 4/65) has probably been attached at Banbury and will only work to Oxford, perhaps to Basingstoke, then a SR locomotive will take over.
