At the north end of Farringdon Station, a new roof covers the northern ends of the platforms that previously were out in the open (having been extended, some years ago, beyond the original roof). South of this, the original roof still covers the central section of the station. Here, looking south from one of the new walkways between platforms, one can see the new roof at the very top of the picture, at a slightly higher level than the old one; I assume in the fullness of time the new roof will extend south over the whole station and supersede the old one.
