View eastward, towards Severn Tunnel Junction etc.: ex-GW South Wales Main line. The train will have come via Eastleigh to Salisbury, where the WR locomotive will have taken over to run via Westbury and Bristol (Stapleton Road) and the Severn Tunnel. It is Collett 4-6-0 No. 4948 'Northwick Hall' (built 8/29, withdrawn 9/62).
