This short lane, at the eastern edge of the town centre, is apparently so insignificant that it is not deemed worthy of inclusion on the several maps I've consulted. The steps ahead lead up to streets named Pen y graig and Stryd y llyn. The Welsh name of the lane is Lôn bach bwgan . Bwgan has various shades of meaning, equivalent to the English bogey, bugbear, genie, ghost, goblin, hobgoblin or spook. So Hobgoblin's Little Lane is one possible translation.
