Shut and locked on a Sunday, but there were indications it might be shut during the week as well. The long well-built private road with an expensive bridge over the Mar Dyke went to a rubbish dump in old gravel pits. There is a planning application notice attached to a post of the signboard (not spotted at the time of the photograph), so perhaps a different future awaits.
