A ford of the River Wid, with a proportion of the flow culverted under the road. Today there was a little water over the road, despite a very dry winter. There are several signs making the point that a ford can get very wet. The nearest spells out what a ford means in detail I've not seen before, the next emphasises the point "Road liable to flooding" and finally there is a very prominent depth gauge.
