Blooms Nursery and Garden Centre also has attractions including a butterfly house and a small collection of domestic and wild animals. There is a family of meerkats who are fed several times a day. This trio are foraging for food just provided for them. Meerkats (Suricata suricatta) are native to the desert regions of southern Africa such as the Namib and Kalahari deserts.
