Chalk is unusual in South Essex, and the Chafford Gorges are the best place to see it. This is the chalk cliff as seen from the bottom of the old quarry. This is part of the Essex Wildlife Trust (http://www.essexwt.org.uk/visitor_centres__nature_reserves/chafford_gorges/ ) Chafford Gorges reserve.
