View eastward, towards Edinburgh on the ex-NB main lines westward and northward from Edinburgh. The train is on the Forth Bridge lines, with the Corstorphine branch on the left and the Glasgow lines on the right. The locomotive is LNER class D11/2 4-4-0 No. 2673 (formerly No. 6380) 'Evan Dhu', built 8/24, withdrawn as No. 62673 in 7/59. It is one of the 'Scottish Directors', derived from the GC Robinson 11F class.
