The view from the gates of "Enderlane", No 10 and a half, Watcombe Circus. (Yes, this is the correct house number). This house is built on a piece of land that once belonged to Mr Ichabod Wright, a 19th Century local banker. He had plans to have an Anglican Church that he wished to fund on the hill where this private house is now built. However, St John's Church, Carrington was ultimately built on its present site because of doubts about whether the elderly members of the intended congregation would manage to reach this particular summit. Across the road, at the foot of this descending driveway, Loscoe Road, Carrington can be seen.
