Hoo Hole Works (the building to the right) was formerly a dyeworks, later used for the manufacture of poultry equipment by Thornber Bros. The complex is owned by Thornber Properties no longer in the poultry business, who operate a business park at the former hatchery site seen top left. The larger building with snow on the roof is Crossley Works, another industrial premises
