A local shopping parade along Magdalen Road begins on the right. Denmark Road, to the left, "was cut in 1832 and named in 1863 after the wedding of Edward, Prince of Wales to Princess Alexandra of Denmark". http://www.exetermemories.co.uk/EM/Streets_and_Areas.html#streets The fine Victorian building at the end of the road on the left is a pair of semis.
