Having pounded up the 1-in-70 from the terminus, the 11.24 from Liverpool Street is about to turn sharp left onto the Cambridge main line for Kings Lynn, where it will have to reverse to reach Hunstanton (due 14.30). The locomotive is Thompson B1 4-6-0 No. 61203 (built 6/47, withdrawn 7/62).
