Viewed across Princess Way. The present building is a renovated and modernised version of the original Cross Keys Inn dating from c1600. The earliest known building on this site was St David’s Hospice, the foundations for which were laid in c1332. The text of the foundation grant survives. The hospice probably closed c1550 after which the buildings remained disused and neglected for about 50 years. Grade II listed in April 1952.
