Catchwater with bridge

A catchwater does literally that; it intercepts streams and presumably general drainage water from slopes and then conducts the gathered water to where it is to be used or stored - in this case, the Hisehope Reservoir. The catchwater seen here is seen at its northern end where a bridge is in place to allow farm access.
