North Drive at Harwell, these used to be the old Married Officers' houses for the RAF site. When the place was taken over by the UKAEA they were given to prominent scientists. The whole area is now marked for development of a hotel and leisure complex. Further along here the Commanding Officer used to live and his house was taken over by John Cockcroft who was the first director of the site. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Cockcroft
