This snowy track with "private road" signs is a public bridle path that leads up past the site of the old keepers lodge to Hay Wood a large wood covering nearly a square kilometre and crossing four grid squares. The keepers lodge has been demolished though at the date of this photo it still appeared on Google Earth. The lodge has been replaced with this rather gaunt modern house and large garage on 3.5 acres of grounds. It is currently on the market at £1.4 million.
