The company was a substantial manufacturer of domestic hardware, latterly specialising in ironing boards. There is an excellent history on the Wolverhampton local history website http://www.localhistory.scit.wlv.ac.uk/Museum/metalware/beldray/beldray00.htm This office block was built some time in the 1930s and is an excellent example of Art Deco industrial architecture. After the firm moved out it was sold to Wolverhampton Council, and now houses part of its Social Services department. It has been excellently refurbished, with many of the original interior features being retained. Locally listed.
