A splendid affair resplendent in orange terracotta (Image]), the facades lined with arcades divided by giant Corinthian columns and punctuated by polygonal corner towers. Built 1896-98 to the designs of J. Gibbons Sankey. Grade II* listed. The original occupant was Tootal Broadhurst Lee & Co., venerable textile manufacturers, swallowed up by the Coats Viyella group in the 1980s. It has been converted to 280,000 square feet of offices, Churchgate House.
