This recently built (1990) apartment block is called "The Moorings". It is a fully equipped sheltered housing scheme for elderly people with 64 flats and many services. The opportunity to build some private moorings on that side of the Trent and Mersey Canal has been missed, probably deliberately so to keep the open feeling to the canalside gardens. A one bedroom flat here can be bought for around £115,000 (in 2012). Image]
