View westward, towards Manchester, via Sowerby Bridge and Todmorden on the ex-L&Y, via Huddersfield and Stalybridge on the ex-LNW: four-track section of the Calder Valley main line. The Class F train is passing the Locomotive Depot west of Mirfield station, headed by one of the LMS Fowler 7F 0-8-0 which abounded on this route, No. 49560 (built 1929, withdrawn 12/57).
