View southward, towards London: ex-GN King's Cross - Doncaster ECML. Just back on the four-track main line after coming through the two-track bottleneck from Welwyn, a typical train of mineral empties on the busy Ferme Park (Hornsey) - New England (Peterborough) shuttle is an ex-WD 2-8-0. No. 90613 was built as No. 7469 (later 77469) in 1/44 and loaned to the LNER at Colwick until shipped to France in 12/44: it returned to England in 6/46, was stored at Annesley then in 3/47 put to work on the LNER at New England, where it stayed (later as 90613) until 4/63, then was at Frodingham until withdrawn in 3/65.
