View NW, towards Bedford and the North: ex-Midland Main Line from St Pancras. Photographed from a train on the Down Fast approaching Leagrave station, is one of the countless trains that processed up from Toton Yard via Wellingborough to Brent Sidings at Cricklewood, with coal for London and the SR. This one is headed by quite new BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92018 (built 11/54, withdrawn 5/67).
