Taken to show how these large power stations can affect local weather conditions. On this day, the cloud formed from the heat produced by Eggborough was streaming directly towards Drax, where it was boosted by the even larger cloud from that station. Downwind of Drax there would have been a cloud at least 20km long which would have deprived many people of the sunshine on that day.
