A quiet green lane starts here. Oving House itself is privately owned and well concealed behind trees. According to the Parks & Gardens website http://www.parksandgardens.org/places-and-people/site/4513 "the site contains the grounds of an early-17th-century manor house which was enlarged in 1740-1743. The whole site was Georgianized in 1954-1955 which included the building of a swimming pool pavilion, gateway, and installation of a portico which was formerly the library window."
