What we see today is largely the result of G. Highton's enlargement in 1883 of a Grecian villa of 1839, with further additions in early C20th. It has been a school for many years. It is a Secondary School for Boys in Upper Norwood in the London Borough of Croydon. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Joseph%27s_College,_London for more details about the school.
