Looking across Hornby Park towards the castle. Hornby Castle was built by the St Quentin family in the 14thC and altered by Lord Conyers in the 15thC. Little of the original medieval building still stands, and parts have been demolished. The most prominent part of the castle visible here is the keep which retains some original features, otherwise most of the rest is late Georgian.
