View northward, towards Oxford etc.: ex-GWR Didcot etc. - Oxford, Banbury etc. main line. This was a WR line, normally traversed by GW (also a few SR and occasional LNE locomotives), but until the latter days of Steam hardly ever by LMS locomotives south of Oxford. Here Stanier 5MT 4-6-0 No. 45089 (built 1936, withdrawn 8/67) is working an Up Class C freight towards Didcot.
