The Court, a rather ugly Victorian mansion was demolished in the mid Twentieth Century. For some time during the 1960's and 1970's the grounds were used as a camp site for the County education authority. It was said that the grounds were haunted by a 'green archer', though that might have been a ruse by teachers to scare the children to sleep.
